I've decided to finally get a mouse better than the crummy one that came with my old computer. my grip is basically palm with a slight arch in the fingers so that the majority of the finger stays slightly above the mouse (not anywhere near as extreme as claw though), and my wrist lightly touches the table (going to get a mouse pad too). I would like this to be cheap to mid end ($75 max, would like to stay closer to $ 50), but I want it to be a considerable upgrade over my current mouse. I'm considering the razer deathadder. would that be good for my grip?
ps. I'm right handed, and I DO NOT WANT A WIRELESS MOUSE
It seems we have similar grips, an almost claw-palm hybrid where you move the mouse with your fingers but the wrist stays in contact with the mouse pad?
I actually use the Razer Deathadder 2013 and find it to be fairly good, though its not exactly the small. You might want to go to a Gamestop or something where you can try the mouse, or at least get your hands on a box as the packaging allows you to get a feel of the mouses shape.
I move the mouse mainly with my wrist, making larger movements with my arm. My grip is far far closer to a palm, just think of it as a palm with very slightly arched fingers. to a point where the front of the palm and the fingertips are at the same level, but the middle knuckle is not. I'll try various mouses out though if I can, but I would like a general suggestion. The last mouse I bought was a wireless for a laptop, and I hated it. Aside from being extremely inaccurate (moreso than my current mouse), it didn't fit well in my hand at all. It was a logitech m510, I think.
I completely misjudged my handsize and my grip. Turns out my hands are medium sized, and my grip is almost completely palm. considering I've heard that people with tiny hands love the deathadder, I think I'll buy the razer deathadder 2013.
