Hi guys,
firstly this is my first build. i have had down to get the gigabyte ga 990 fxa ud3 but i am unable to get it at the same location as the rest of my components. is it worth me getting the asrock 990fx Extreme 4? will it be compatible and as good? or will i be better off sticking with the gigabyte mobo and getting it someplace else? i am running an AMD FX-8350 black edition cpu.

thanks in advance

This should help you decide. I would go for the ASRock as it is a good quality motherboard and if you are going to get it off newegg you can get it 10% off. It is compatible with your system as it is an AM3+ chipset plus it is good motherboard to overclock on.

However the Gigabyte is also a very good board. but with the deal on a newegg you may as well get the ASRock.

my trouble is they wont ship to AUS from amazon, microcenter or newegg lol sounds like they are fairly similar is that the case? or should i definitley go with one of them ? i am going to run MSI GeForce gtx 770 gpu if that makes any difference...

that does not make a difference, both are good motherboards with some similar features, it depends which one you can get. Both are good build quality and you can over clock your CPU on both of them.
