how big of a difference would i see?

Solution
My bad on th type, same applies though even with the 4670K, clock for clock the 8350 is no match in anything except video rendering, and that's extremely close

Well for gaming the new graphics card destroys the 7770. For editing, I'm not sure because though the i5 is a great cpu, it does only have 4 threads whereas the fx- has 8, and editing is a heavily threaded process.

Ok so say im using Autodesk Maya or sony vegas the rendering process will pretty much have identical timings?? (like how long it will take to render)

**i use one normal 17" computer monitor for my gaming and i use a 32" Lcd for my editing and general internet browsing**

He is talking about the 4670K not 4770k (i5 vs i7), makes a HUGE difference. The i7 is a top of the line cpu that also costs 50% more than the amd counterpart. As for multi-tasking I can't really imagine what you would be doing to max either the i5 or the fx-8XXX, unless you are encoding/rendering whilst multi-tasking. For multiple screens, unless you are gaming you will again see nearly no difference.

The best solution here would be to just add the 770 to your current rig and save money from upgrading the whole pc, while also getting an immense performance increase in gaming.

Noooooooooooooo, you would do that would you? Always start with the price higher than what you expect, that way can drop price to what you want and make them happy and you still get what you want.....and then..they may bite at the higher price and it pays for dinner or a better component in the new build ;)
