2 GTX 670 4g cards or 1 Gtx 690

Once i get my mobo back from asus i will be installing my 2 gtx 670 4 gb gpu cards. I have an opption for a trade with a friend that has a GTX 690. Will 2 gtx 670 4gb gpu cards run as well as the gtx 690 4gb? what are the differences between these 2? Would they be the same? Or will the 2 GTX 670 cards be slightly better? or the exact opposite, will the GTX 690 be a better suiter for the gaming experience? Any information is appreciated. Thank you Toms.

I am assuming that you are going to be running surround or at some higher resolution then 1920x1080. Running 2 670s would be pointless at 1080p. That being said each gpu on the 690 only has 2gb. This means that the 690 runs into v ram issues at higher resolutions. The 2 670s with 4gb each will run better for the higher resolution gaming.

Actually you should really get 2 770's seeing as they are newer and more powerfull than the 690.

I appreciate all the info. This would be a trade for a gtx 690. I saw 5% faster that both 670's. so from what i read i believe i should go for the trade(GTX 690 for 2/GTX 670 4gb that i already have). lol. thanks for the sales pitch tho.

i was reading that i could over clock my 2 gtx670 to surpass the power and accesibility of the gtx 690 with just 2 670 4gb. if that is the case then i would preferably keep the 2 670's and overclock. But if i could overclock the gtx 690 then would i get more performance out of that then 2 gtx 670's?? idk what to do. i hear so much exciting stuff going on. What do you all think. Am i to anxious??
