Hi, I got my windows 8 key on my old HDD that is unaccessable now so i got a new SSD for my pc, is there anyway i can uninstall windows of my old HDD without 'using' it, or would i be able to ring microsoft and would they be able to disable it of my old HDD for me?

you have to call microsoft and tell them that your old hard drive with windows 8 is accessible and that you got a new hard drive and need to install windows 8 on the new hard drive

i know you have to call microsoft about this problem but i'm not 100% sure how they go about doing it
what i have heard is that they will deactivate the old key and then give you a new one which you can activate on the new hard drive

Hi, Install win-8 on the SSD
Use your key when prompted, if it doesn't activate it will give you A 1(800)# to call
call the # and (answer the question= ONE computer) type in the 10X10 sets of numbers it will display (when prompted)
they will give you 10X10 sets to enter, congratz you just "moved" win-8 to your SSD. cheers
