I had my OS (Win 7 64bit) on C, and all of my libraries and programs on E. C just died. I now installed a fresh Windows on E. Now everything is on E, but E doesn't see the old programs and stuff that were on it from when C was running the show. Is there some way I can update the registry (or something) to get the new E OS to recognize the installed programs/libraries?

Solution
When you installed the OS on the other drive, it formatted itself and wiped out everything. That is a normal Windows 7 installation procedure. There should have been a warning advising you that the drive you were about to install to had data on it, and gave you a chance to cancel.
