4770k Voltage seems a little low?

Ok, I built a new system on release of the 4770k

So far i have it stable at 4.7 gigs core (4.5 gigs cache). Are these temps and voltages unusual considering the use of a closed loop water cooler? I have read several reports of people running the chip at 1.25v or higher with similar thermals but a lower core frequency. I feel i am unable to keep the CPU cool pushing past these voltages;

Core voltage is set to 1.21
Cache voltage is set to 1.18

Changing either of these voltages higher leads to a large thermal response.

I used Intel Burn Test to test stability, running the default settings, with 10 passes. I am hitting 88-92 degrees on the hottest core. I have read that the chip takes an additional 0.1 volts when running one of these stability tests. This reading flutuates on CPU-Z but never by more than 0.016.

Is the CPU pulling move voltage than CPU-Z is telling me?

Is an average 90 degrees C on my hottest core a little high for this voltage? When i am using closed loop water cooling.

The rig;
4770k
ROG Maximus 6 Hero
NZXT Kraken x60
IC diamond thermal paste
Corsair 1600c9 (using the XMP)

Additionally; The system is stable when i test for stability on these settings. But very very occassioanlly it will blue screen when rendering video in sony vegas. I have run stability testing for 12 hours in Prime 95 and i have run multiple short Intel Burn Tests. The system appears to be stable when tested. Anyone have advice regarding the occassional blue screens?

I... pretty much guarantee you that overclock is not stable, or that if it is, you got the most golden chip out there and should sell it to overclocking teams.

Getting haswell on a small closed-loop water cooler to run at 4.7 GHz and a 1.21 vcore is... That can't be right. Even with temperatures in the 90s.

i dont have i7 but a 4670k i5 i have it 1.19 volt and 4.2 after 6 hours of prime 95 in the 60s, 70s for a sec on last core i have 620 h20 antec closed loop i also use ic as i like that tim the most well that's my 2 cents

That's exactly what i was thinking. It just doesn't seem right from what i'm reading on overclocking forums. Nobody is using this voltage for this frequency.

Regarding stability it's quite true that it's not 100% 24/7 stable since i have been getting bluescreens - but it never happens when i stress test... I have been leaving the machine stress testing at night to refine the overclock. Prime 95 delivers much lower temps and i could possibly push 4.8 gigs however it seems to require at least jumping up to 1.25v and i would be unable to do a quick stability test with Intel Burn because i believe it would definately exceed 100 degrees at that voltage.

The real reason why i was asking about it here is that i am considering delidding it.

You seem to have a very good chip, and if you're willing to delid it, I think you could get an amazing overclock...

but for god's sake, before you do something as dangerous as that, throw out the cruddy, unreliable all-in-one cooler and get yourself some real watercooling.
