I just replaced my motherboard and I tried booting windows 7 from my hard drive without doing a fresh install, and after installing a few drivers and testing a game, it worked great. Is this normal or wil this take a bad turn? Thanks!

Solution
If it is the same exact motherboard or is based on the same chipset, not too strange. I even went from AMD to Intel one time and with just a few drivers it worked without an re-install.

I had an issue with the USB ports, but that was it. Just needed to install some drivers was all. Other than that, no issues. Newer versions of Windows seem to be much more flexible about what hardware you swap out, and I think have better generic driver support.
