**Sorry i think this is in the wrong subforum and idk how to delete this post cuz ive never posted on here (or really any other forum..). If someone could tell me how to delete this I would be very grateful... :3

First things first: I am a complete newbie to computer building. This will be my first rig ever to be made! I've spent a good amount of time deciding on my priorities.

Mainly, I want this to be a gaming build. One that plays modern games and future games at respectable perf (30+ fps) on med-high settings on 1080p or lower maybe.

I want this dude to be small :D My brother recently built a hackintosh with a bitfenix prodigy and I was really diggin the 'smallish' size. I think I'd like a rig
as big as that or smaller so I can easily take it to LAN parties.

My budget for the chassis/components is roughly $700.

I've created a list of parts (http://pcpartpicker.com/p/1kINC) that I thought would do the above tasks. I realize that there is an incompatibility with this build due to the wireless adapter and GPU needing PCI express slots while the mobo only
has one. So if anyone can suggest a different mobo/approach then that would be very helpful.

Also, this is my first post on this forum i believe. So I apologize if this is in the wrong area or whatever!

Thanks for the help

I really wouldn't go Intel at that price, the FX-6300 offers much better performance and value. Since you want it to be small it makes sense but still, its not a great choice. As for the WiFi, just buy a USB WiFi adapter, they only cost like $10, that's what I have.

Any suggestions for a mini-ITX mobo that'll work with the 6300?

I'm mainly going for mini ITX build, but I would def look into AMD if i wasn't.

I'm more concerned about the i3. New games require 4 cores and the i3 won't cut it in the future. Even an i5 would be so much better for future gaming.

yeah I would like this build to last me atleast 2 yrs so I guess adding 80 bucks to my budget wouldnt hurt so bad. But I feel if I go up to the 3470 I might as well go for the 3570?

Go for the best CPU in your budget, as long as you're getting an i5 you should be good. I don't usually recommend i5 for gaming but where AMD doesn't do that size MB the i5 is the best option.
