looking at the AMD Radeon HD 5450 http://www.amazon.com/XFX-Radeon-Profile-PCI-Express-ON...

and the AMD Radeon HD 6450 http://www.amazon.com/MSI-Profile-PCI-Express-R6450-MD1...

I need a cheap, low power consuming card, these are NOT for me and hardcore gaming, these are for my grandmother and she plays games on facebook and occasionally sum others so these would be good enough... also can anyone tell me a Nvidia equal in price/performance with low power consumption? Thank you for your help.

The 7750 is not needed for what she does, the 7750 also takes more power then both those cards and she doesn't wanna spend $90 on a video card thanks for the recommendation but it wasn't needed.

the 7750 needs only 300 watts power supply.

and consumes just 60 watts...

The 5450 is a total basic card with HDMI and that's it. The card is just awful. It's awful now and it was awful back then. I guess you could buy the card for your grandmother needs but I would go with something just a bit better than 5450. Come to think of it, it would probably be the cheapest choice and cover all the needs but I just hate that card :D .. It is stable and reliable also.

Thank you for answering my question... so would it be better for her to spend the extra $7 and get the 6450? She plays the most basic of games and i figure a $30 card would be more then enough for her and also help her processor out by taking the video processing load off it. Again thank you for your help :D

Yes I would definitely spend the 7$ extra. It's memory bandwidth are much higher and will give you an overall better perfomance than 5450. And if her processor has integrated GPU it should also be helpful. Also consider the amount of RAM on the system. You haven't posted any specification of the PC but it sounds like it could be an older system so if she's running under 2GB of RAM you may want to consider an upgrade there.

Yes I would definitely spend the 7$ extra. It's more or less double perfomance for 7$. And if her processor has integrated GPU it should also be helpful. Also consider the amount of RAM on the system. She has 4GB and i used USB flash drive with ready boost to give her another 4GB, i know actual ram is faster but this helped a lot. I would like to upgrade her PC a lot more but i don't like the mobo she has so i would want to get a new one along with a new cpu which she needs but neither of us have the money so a cheap upgrade would be a cheap $30 video card to take the video processing load off the cpu and also its better then intels integrated graphics lol

Just so it's clear. I edited my statement saying the 6450 has double performance. That was a bit overrated. The fact is that you could most likely get away with the 5450 since it's only for browser games and videos but still 6450 may have that extra power, which is needed sometimes. But yeah, taking the load of the processor's integrated graphics will release more processing power and memory since it's shared.
