Want to do a clean install but I can,t get into Bios

I have an Intell D850OEMV2 MB. When I press F2 to get into the bios I see the hard drive light is on but I don't get any video. My monitor is conected with a DVI connector. Is that why I cant see the Bios?

Is the monitor displaying any sign of life at all - a "No Signal" message, perhaps? If there's an alternative d-Sub connector can you try that. Do you have another monitor to test? Can you hear the fans and hard disk spinning up when you power the computer?

Sorry it's all questions and no answers.

The monitor is on but the screen doesn't show until Windows boots up on the hard drive. When I press F2 and I see the hard drive light on it doesn't really seem to be on. I don't hear the fans and then when I press the power button it goes off immediately. Usually if it is on you need to press the power button for a while before it will shut down.
I noticed that the mother board has a Bios configuration jumper. If I set this to configure will the computer automatically go into the BIOS?
