Guys! In a couple of hours i'm gonna buy a new RAM to add to my PC, giving extra 4gb to my already 4gb ram pc.

The question is, should i pick the same exact ram model or should i pick a better performance one? Because i heard some people say it's better to pick the same thus making it perform more efficiently. Some suggest for me to pick the better one.

Oh i forgot. In my case, my 4gb RAM is Kingston 4gb ddr3 1600. Whether to buy the exact same model or pick a better one such as Vengeance Gaming ram?

More about : adding ram pick exact model model

As many others have said: Get the exact same model. Compatibility won't be an issue, there won't be clock differences or manufacturer variations in chips causing issues of some sort, etc. It's just safer and more efficient to get the same model. :)

It's never a good idea to mix sticks, even of the same exact model......but if you're going to do so, get the same model if possible and be prepared to set up manually - AUTO MAY or may not provide an optimal config

If you have ValueRAM then with the same and I concur with other members who posted saying that going with the same model memory is a good idea rather than mixing it.
