Hey guys,

So I was wondering if I can use the PSU I bought from US and use it here in dubai. Keep in mind the difference in the output voltage in houses. (In US it is 110-120Vac, while in Dubai here it is 220-240Vac). Im not sure if I will need a transformer to drop down the voltage to 110 for the PSU?
I read somewhere that the PSU are universal and can take an input of any one of those ( 110 or 220 ). Furthermore, will I need to change the input cable? Cause ive seen in videos its labelled 110V(just wondering if it'll melt if I use it for 220V here).

Thanks for your replies!

What he said^ largely, except that cables are usually rated in amps. But because of your higher voltage, there's lower current, so the cable would be fine.

You're better off finding a local cable; they're usually called a jug lead or IEC cable. Looks like this; you may have some lying around:

XFX PSUs have full range active PFC, which means they will operate on ~100-~240 VAC.
Power cords are rated for the amount of power (expressed in watts) they can handle, so whatever cord comes with it will be fine, although you may need a simple adapter (not a transformer) so you can plug it into the wall. Alternately, you might find another cable locally with the correct ends on it.
