I need to know the motherboard I need for my gaming needs. I want as much performance as possible and I have a relatively high budget so the price shouldn't matter that much.

Anyway, I'm going for a Core i7 4770K processor with LGA 1150 Socket. Any recommendations for my needs?

I recommend the cheapest one that has the has number of SATA connectors and PCI-E slots you need from ASUS, ASRock, MSI, or Gigabyte. My personal preference is for boards that float around $150. Less than that they really start cutting corners, more than that you end up with connectivity you don't need (e.g. firewire) or gimmicky junk like Killer NICs with no proven benefit. The overclocking gains are a couple hundred MHz for a lot more cash and in my mine is not a good return on investment.

I haven't been displeased with the Maximus Hero so far. Not too many unused features on there for me (one of these days I will use ROG Connect, maybe). Bit of a premium price, but it comes with some bundled software that helps offset it.

ASUS Sabretooth is also a good choice, though I wasn't a fan of the TUF armor.

I'm NOT overclocking and I do NOT have any brand preferences. All I care about is top notch performance.

So, any personal favorite that suits my need?

What do you think is the motherboard I should go for? I just want excellent performance that suits my needs.

If you are not going to OC, the ASRock H87 board should be fine (don't need Z87 unless you are overclocking). Any board in the ~$100 range.

You're not going to see a framerate difference on otherwise identical hardware between a $100 board and a $400 board.

Oh, and there is no reason to pay for a -K processor if not overclocking. Just wasted cash.
