So i have a new build, and i fired it up this morning and everything posts fine and goes to bios. There is a red light on for the cpu, but it doesnt show any problems in the bios. It even said "cpu install successful" on the first boot up. Im not sure what could be wrong with it. Here are the specs of the build....

Asus Sabertooth x79
intel i7 3820
Corsair Hydro h100i
16gb (4x4) g.skill ripjaws z
rosewill 1k psu
evga gtx 295 (reused from old computer)

All of my connections are good and i could even begin installing windows. Didnt get a chance to because i had to go to work. Checked the temps through the bios and was idling at 28-29C. Any ideas as to why there would be a red light? Do i need to update my bios perhaps? Any help would be greatly appreciated.

Thanks,

Mike

Il give it a shot when i get home. Just seems weird that everything seems fine and runs ok, but i have a red light. To me a cpu seems like it either works or it doesnt. If it wasnt seated properly i figure it just wouldnt work at all.

It can help..
