8 times it has reset itself this week and now it just stopped me in middle of talking to someone,gave me blue screen,error codes,telling me to unplug hardware etc. Event viewer shows this

Memchk you can get from MS. HDD diagnostics you can get from your drive Mfg. Both of which can be made bootable on a CD or thumb drive.

I have a seagate HDD,just downloaded Seatools from Seagate website and ran a fast fix all and it passed

Coolermaster GX 550w

When i bought the parts for this build i told the shop i didnt want it,i wanted Silverstone 1 but he insisted this 1 is great.

The 12v rail is way out of spec. if the report is correct. Please try (http://www.cpuid.com/softwares/hwmonitor.html) using the 1.23 setup download. Not the Pro version. Once installed check the voltages with it. If you are still seeing anything like the 8.8 return the PSU for replacement. Note you can not rely on whoever sold it to you testing it in the shop with a volt meter. The unit must be under load like when running the system to be correctly tested. I would give the seller a call first also. Yes having this voltage could cause your system to crash. And yes these things do happen and a PSU can fail even when not very old.

Cables are all plugged in fine,the techsupportforum suggestion didnt work,i saw it,tried it and the next day i got blue screen,im waiting til Monday to call the shop and see what can be done and @Dogsnake,i done what you said and i am getting 8.184v
