if you are a serious gamer then yes you will notice a difference, i use my a40 on my onboard and it still works wonders for me

I suggest you try onboard sound first. Particularly if you are using a quality new generation motherboard.
It usually is very good.
You can always add a discrete sound card later.

your sound is 112 dB SNR , the SB Z is 116 DB SNR , you need to understand that every 3 more DB SNR , thats DOuble the quality of the sound , so the Creative is double sound Quality.

plus the Creative has a 600ohm Amplifier for headphones ... your board doesnt have it.

so yes the Creative Z is double the sound Quality WITH 600 ohm AMP ... (doesnt work with USB headphones , needs direct input)
