First, the details of my overclock.
Intel Core i5-3570K OC @ 4.2GHz with voltage set using manual, not offset, in BIOS to 1.240 vCore

Motherboard: Asus P8Z77-V LK

Memory: 2X Kingston HyperX Black 1600MHz running at 1333MHz (auto set by motherboard) timings 9-9-9-24

GPU: MSI Cyclone GTX 460 1GB edition overclocked from 725 MHz core to 800/1600 Shader/1850 MHZ memory clock

Case: Rosewill R5 2 fans in front pulling in, two fans on top pulling in, one fan on bottom, infront of PSU pulling air in, rear fan at top of case pulling in, exhaust air is coming out of anywhere there's not a fan & air filter (lol). The rad for my H100i is mounted up top. Load and idle temps taken below are with all fans at 100% output. Two fans in front and one in back are rosewill fans that shipped with the case, the one in bottom next to PSU is a corsair fan (not sure exactly what model) the 2 fans on top shipped with the cooler itself.

PSU is a seasonic 650W fully modular power supply

Cable routing is done and airflow is optimal imo.

Ambient temp = 23 C/75 F

Idle temp averages on cores 1-4 approximately 40C idle and 67.5C load using prime95 blend torture test.

Most things I've read over the web state that I should be seeing much lower idle (and some sources state, lower load temps as well) temperatures given my setup. Any thoughts as to why this is? (Apologies for wall of text)

These temperatures are very good, so no need to worry. The idle temperatures depend on the setting you made in the Corsair Link software. When you let the fans work @ 100%, the temps will lower, but there's no need for that. Mine is at 40°C at idle too and 80°C under full system load, so yours are fine.

Too much positive pressure. You probably learned this in school but hot air rises and a computer needs to vent hot air. by blowing into the case without any exit the hot air stays around. Have a rethink. Cool air should be passed over hot components but you don't want that heated air circulating in your case, so it should be vented.

Top fans: exhaust.
Rear fan: exhaust.

That's my case. Two fans in front, below the 5.25", two up top, under the perforated grill, one at the bottom-middle, infront of the PSU, one at rear in top. They all intake. All the other holes on the sides (there's a set on the right side too) is where the positive pressure exhausts. Good point though, but non-applicable to my case in my situation.

what processor do you have? What voltage?

You see it when you move your mouse over my profile pic. I also have a 3570k, but at 4,1 GHz and voltage offset -0,1V (sweet pot). I have a Scythe Ninja 3 as a cooler with an Alpenföhn 120mm fan. Before I had the H100i too, with Akasa Piranha fans and I got temperatures about 10°C lower.

Good point though, but non-applicable to my case in my situation.
Trenchcoat is right, it would be the best when you turn the top and rear fans. Your CPU may be 1-2°C hotter (maybe even not), but it would drastically decrease the temperature of GPU, Northbridge etc. At the moment without side fans it won't come out sidewards, but dams up at the top, which also could be the reason of the hot CPU. Why is it not applicable? I'm quite sure the case would allow it.

I said it was non applicable, because even when I use corsair link to turn my fans all the way down, I still feel air coming out the case at the sides about 2 feet away, on my face. That's not accounting for when they're at maximum.

Your fan situation needs to be changed. Way to much air coming in and not enough exhaust. As they said before.. top and back exhaust. I hope you have your h100i set up under push pull set up and with it being as exhaust.
