I have a Asus P8 H77-M CSM motherboard that has compatibility with the Corsair CMZ8GX3M2A1600C7R(XMP) and I have bought a Corsair CMZ8GX3M2A1600C9R http://www.newegg.com/Product/Product.aspx?Item=N82E168.... Asus said that they might be compatible, but I just want to be sure. Corsair didn't respond to any of my suppory tickets. Sorry if this is a stupid question, this is my first build. Any help would be appreciated. Thanks.

Definitely - any DDR3 ram, preferably at 1.55v or lower, is compatible. This is great RAM and will work well. Depending on your cooler the heatsinks may get in the way, so bear that in mind. :)

No worries:)
If it's not too late you could always send it back and get the 'LP' version instead. If not, then you could consider water cooling or try finding a cooler that works for that ram. :)

Yes that could be arranged but I think I am going to test it out before I send it back. I am not worried to much about the cooler, I can adjust it to face a different way or maybe if all goes wrong try out the stock. As I said before I'm a newbie and this is my first pc build so I am not going to try water cooling just yet if I can help it, even though it looks cooler and works more efficiently. If I have to buy a new smaller cooler to fit my needs, I will do it. :)  thanks again and take care!

IF a problem look to the Hyper 212 EVO, the fan height is adjustable and it is on a par with a H100 liquid cooler so would want that or a better liquid to match it, and the EVO is $35 compared to the H100 at $110
