PSU Adaptor for motherboard

Solution

The board has more power phases for the cpu. If you were putting in a quad core I would recommend a better psu with a proper 8 pin connector, not an expansion socket, especially if you were looking to overclock. For a 60 watt twin core processor, the four pin is fine.
Its also foolproof and will only go in the correct way leaving four empty places.
It WOULD actually work on a quad, but its not...

If your psu doesnt have the two pins extra to fill the extra two power points, I would buy another psu. Are you sure it doesnt have them on the same cable branch? Two more pins, maybe with a side facing arrow on them.

Yep, I mean that socket. In old models were just 4 but almost all news have 8.
So it would work even when I'm using half of the conectors there? So....what is the reason of the other 4?¿
