Fraps lagging randomly

I have a boss pc, but when recording with fraps I get random frame rate drops. Whats causing this?

PC specs

i5-4670K @3.40GHz
EVGA GTX 780 SC w/ ACX
8 GB RAM
480GB SSD
1 TB HDD <record on

Use DXTORY! That's all I have to say, Fraps caps your fps at 30fps, and if your fps goes lower than that it will compensate for that and lower it more. Plus Dxtory uses about 5-10% of my CPU so I literally get no performance hit, as for when I used fraps, my FPS would be total crap, and it would read 40-50% usage most of the time.
