Ok so last time i posted here you guys were all very helpful. But here is my latest problem. I am fixing my friends computer that he has had for about two years now, with no problems until a few months ago.
So basically what is happening is I turn the computer on, display comes up (fans turn on and LEDS too) shows mobo info, says i should update cpu for best results, then says that the cpu is overheating. Then the computer just shuts itself off. I've tried going into BIOS but it just shuts off then too. I suspect either the CPU, PSU or mobo but im not sure which one and how to troubleshoot them. Would greatly appreciate your help and time. Thanks.
Here are the build specs:
Graphics Card: EVGA Geforce GTX 275
PSU: Lian Li Ps-S650GE 650w
Mobo: Asus P6T SE
CPU: Intel i7 950
RAM: Geil 6x2Gb
CPU Cooler: Noctua NH-D14
ROM: Asus DRW-22B1LT
Case: Antec Twelve Hundred
