skype not working

I have a compac laptop. I just got a new wireless Internet connection just yesterday. I can log onto the internet but not skype why is that.

If you simply can't log in to Skype, it probably doesn't have anything to do with your wireless connection. Are you getting any error messages from Skype or anything like that? Do you have similar problems with any other applications on your computer?
