Help! BIOS update?

Does the Intel DZ68ZV Desktop Motherboard need a BIOS Update to use the Intel Core i5-3570K Ivy Bridge? On PC Part Picker it says that some Z68 boards need a BIOS update to work with IVY Bridges. Does anyone know if I will need to? Should I change to a Sandy Bridge?

This is generally the case. A Sandy Bridge CPU is required to preform the update. Sometimes manufacturers will start shipping new boards with the new BIOS, but you generally cannot count on it. I suggest that you consider either a 7 series board or a used one that has had the BIOS updated.
