fps drop in explosions

first off. your gpu temps look fine in fact it all looks as it should from them screens. although i do see your gpu volts arnt ramping but a constant 1.2v regardless of load... im not entirley sure this is normal. other nvidia owners will have to pipe up...

your playing bf3, heres some performance tips.. it sends a maximum of 60 data packets per second. that means theres no actual benefit from running at more than 60 fps. unlike counterstrike that sends as many packets as you have fps which means the more fps you have the more accurately the map is updated so the more accurate your able to spot and shoot.

what you want to be doing is if you have a 60 hz monitor is limit your max fps to 60 but dont turn vsync on this will have a...
yep depending on your gfx config it sounds normal...
to reduce it use something like the bf3 configurator. you can reduce most of the high end settings, limit your fps to 60 and get the game to run smoother without impacting the visuals to much so its worth a try.
just make sure you know what is being adjusted so you can reset it if you dont like the results.

personally i use the bf3 configurator. i get 60 fps minimum on most maps on the 1s i dont i get a very odd drop to 55. it really does work.

you can also reduce things like tesselation depth if you need to. but honestly you shouldnt need to with that card. if your settings are correct and the game is installed working properly, with uptodate drivers that is. my guess would be that the game is picking up a rats nest in the map poly grid and this is causing the accociated fps drop... this is a particular issue for me on 2 maps. gulf of oman and the market. at certain points on the map if im facing a certain alley my fps crumples. the sceen is actaully just a blank wall. but directly behind it is a rats nest in the geometry and this causes my card to crumple... from wat i have seen on this. it depends on your card where the rats nests appear. so it may be the same problem just on different maps or different areas of the same maps.

anyways try updating your gfx drivers on the nvidia site check back 1-2 times a month to see if theres new 1s available.
disable any gpu boost apps your running in windows. for testing its fine...
make sure the games integrity isnt broken by right clicking on its icon in origin and going from there.
make sure your hdd isnt fragmented. as all these can affect basic performance.
