Basically at the moment the SSD in my tower is only 60gb and i only have around 8gig free. so somewhere down the line I will be upgrading to a 256gig ssd but not yet.
i want to start playing the sims 3 again and i have most of the expansion packs to the game but to install them i would have to install it onto a different internal hard drive in the computer.
question is i know this can be done but will it be quick enough or will it start to lag and jump? the ssd is sata 3 and the other data drives are all sata 2 and for the hdd drives the read/write speeds are all average.
also i play the game in 1080

Hmm, well Sims 3 isn't really a intense game in terms of system usage. SO, you should be fine on having SIM 3 on HDD, install it all on the HDD. SSDs only really help on loading the the OS, various applications, transferring large files and a little on game loading screens. Once the stuff is loaded into memory which is much faster than SSD you should be fine as long as you have enough memory and hopefully the program can use it all.
