i just built my first computer and then installed windows 8 onto the ssd i bought with it i also had the choice to install it onto the 3tb hdd i bought to but i choose ssd. i have no previously had any operating systems on it and all the components of the build are brand new and the computer works very well except i cant seem to find my hdd and on disk management there is no unallocated space for me to add my new hdd only the 180gb ssd there and 350mb system reserves.

When you install the win8 to the SSD, just don't connect the regular HDD to the PC. I will recommend to reinstall the win8 and disconnect the HDD. After done the installation, connect the 3TB HDD. Also you have go to the MB website to see the software like " 3TB+ Unlocker Utility ". I know Asrock, Gigabyte, ASUS they have.
