5gb of 6 used while idle. Help please

Hi,

I have a relatively new samasung series 5 with an i5 and 6gb ram.

Running idle im using 86% ram.

Ive checked resource monitor and the numbers dont add up.

6gb is recognised in system and in resource monitor.

I have tried wiping the system and reinstalling but no luck.

Any ideas?

Task manager was the first thing I checked, but the elements being used by the memory do not add up to 5gb! I'm using Firefox and iTunes at most, so even taking into account Samsung's firmware I don't see how 86% or 6gb RAM could get eaten up, sometimes 90%.

Maybe it's an error, where you are actually using less RAM then it indicates, however unlikely. Try using a different program to read your RAM usage or borrow a friend's RAM and see if the problem persists.
