So recently my EVGA 660 TI stopped working, I put my PC on sleep mode came back..and the monitor wouldn't come back on. The fan still works on the card and I have yet to test it in another machine. I have an old GeForce GT 620 that I tried putting in my computer, it made it to the logging in screen and after that it just went black, and on both of theses cards when I try to install drivers the GeForce software cannot detect it. Again the fan on the card worked and for the 9 months that I have been using my 660 Ti, the 620 has been in a safe spot. The computer I am using can be found here -->http://>
It is pre-built but I added the 660 and a Antec 550w. Any help would be appreciated.

1) Reason for Sleep by Default was Laptops outselling Desktops 3 to 1, so that meant Windows 2/3s of the time would be on a laptop, best to then set them automatically to sleep/hibernate.

2) Should do a full shut down then restart, worse case can you try to get into SAFE MODE. If not (still screen black) then either try a different monitor, or check your BIOS that...

Do you have a friend who can test the gpu for you? its not likely it would have just died for no resion, also check your warranty and get it replaced. they should only charge you shipping if that.

I get sleep bug on my desktop to some times its kinda normal for Windows on desktops don't ask me why.

Disable all sleep options and hibernation in the management section

Otherwise then yes, there is a problem either with Windows itself (corrupted registry/drivers) or the GPU, try the GPU in a secondary system. If the GPU works fine and you can't boot to a screen even in SAFEMODE and different monitor then try booting from DVD and reinstall Windows. Basically you need to be able to see to remove the drivers with Driver Sweeper (it will remove all remnants) reboot to VGA then install the newest drivers.
