Greetings, I built my desktop this morning. But had some problems with the memories.

The motherboard I am using:GIGABYTE GA-Z87X-UD4H
The memories I am using: G.SKILL Ripjaws X Series 16GB (2 x 8GB) 240-Pin DDR3 SDRAM DDR3 1600 (PC3 12800)

Originally, I installed two memories in slot 1 and 2 to enable dual channel but failed in booting. The LED debug code is 15 (Pre-memory North-Bridge initialization is started) and the machine rebooted every 15 seconds.

Then I tested each of the two memories, both of them had same result:
The machine booted successfully when I used slot 1 or 3 (Channel B) but failed booting when I used slot 2 or 4 (Channel A).

Besides, I can use two memories together if I used slot 1 and 3. But I need to install memories on different channel to enable dual channel.

Based on my manual:
Channel A: DDR3_2, DDR3_4
Channel B: DDR3_1, DDR3_3

So my situation is both slots in Channel A not working.

I have tried updating BIOS and clearing CMOS. Nothing helps.

Forgive my poor English. Really need your help. Thanks.

Solution
Physical Slots 1-3 from From CPU are the basic primary slots (shown in your manual as slot #s 4-3) and shown in image on page 16....with AMD the alternate slots don't always work correctly if they are the only ones occupied, so suggest trying in those....if it works OK, can try adding a second set to see if the other slots are working - if not, it's a good possibility of bent broken pins on the CPU

Hi, Tradesman1. I didn't describe clearly. Actually it is memory slot NO.2 and 4 not working. Based on my motherboard manual:
Channel A: DDR3_2, DDR3_4
Channel B: DDR3_1, DDR3_3
