Greetings, I built my desktop this morning. But had some problems with the memories.
The motherboard I am using:GIGABYTE GA-Z87X-UD4H
The memories I am using: G.SKILL Ripjaws X Series 16GB (2 x 8GB) 240-Pin DDR3 SDRAM DDR3 1600 (PC3 12800)
Originally, I installed two memories in slot 1 and 2 to enable dual channel but failed in booting. The LED debug code is 15 (Pre-memory North-Bridge initialization is started) and the machine rebooted every 15 seconds.
Then I tested each of the two memories, both of them had same result:
The machine booted successfully when I used slot 1 or 3 (Channel B) but failed booting when I used slot 2 or 4 (Channel A).
Besides, I can use two memories together if I used slot 1 and 3. But I need to install memories on different channel to enable dual channel.
Based on my manual:
Channel A: DDR3_2, DDR3_4
Channel B: DDR3_1, DDR3_3
So my situation is both slots in Channel A not working.
I have tried updating BIOS and clearing CMOS. Nothing helps.
Forgive my poor English. Really need your help. Thanks.
