I'm planning on getting an ASUS Sabertooth Z87 and an Intel Core i7-4770K Processor, I watch MMOxReview and he has an Intel Core i5-3570K Ivy Bridge and a GTX 670 and runs Skyrim just fine, I want to know if an Intel Core i5-3570K LGA 1155 would go with a ASUS Sabertooth Z87 LGA 1150 or if I would have to buy a LGA 1150 Processor or change to a LGA 1155 Mobo to be compatible with LGA 1150, thanks for any feedback :)

Solution
The i5-3570k WILL NOT work with a LGA 1150 motherbaord, since the i5-3570k uses LGA 1155 socket, along with other 2nd and 3rd generation Core i series CPUs (Some Pentiums and Celerons CPUs as well). The 4th generation Core i CPUs, uses the LGA 1150 socket. If you want to get a CPU that works with the Asus Sabertooth Z87, you will have to get a 4th generation Core i CPUs such as the i7-4770k, or the i5-4670k if you want to save some bucks.

Solution
if a chip's socket does not match the motherboards socket, there is no way it can fit.

as for the motherboard, please dont get that scam tooth. a gigabyte ud3h offers better componentry for a much lower cost. all you pay for is a plastic shell that traps heat inside the board and a metal backplate that may or may not do anything
