Amd is going to be your best option for highly threaded applications on a budget. One thing you might want to consider is dropping down on the video card to get 16gb's of Ram. Not sure how much the capabilities of the video card will affect your rendering programs, so I went with a middle of the road approach. Budget case, but I've worked on one and I honestly like it. Added an aftermarket cooler to keep things cool, and you can overclock with it if you'd like. Terabyte of storage, should do you well till you can afford an SSD. Psu has plenty of power, and is good enough for this build.

16gb ram fx 8350 decent gpu. Gtx 670? with 1tb of storage and 1 ssd should do you well. Remember you can always upgrade! So take your time.
