I'm looking to upgrade/increase the memory in my HP a4316f (specs). It currently has memory that came with it (3 x 2Gb). When I run CPU-Z , it says that I’ve got 3 sticks of Hynix HMT125U6BFR8C-H9 memory with timings of 7.0-7-7-20-27 @ 533 MHz ( is that 7-7-7-21?) I’m looking to max out the system to 16Gb (4x 4Gb) I’m considering using Corsair XMS3 (CMX8GX3M2A1333C9) from Newegg. It says that the timings are 9-9-9-24.

Is this going to work in my system?

Thanks in advance!

It will work fine, the timings are specified by the memory module, and the board will automatically adjust to the memory specs.

Thanks- I thought it would as the HP specs said that you can use PC3-10600 (DDR3-1333) memory but I wasn't sure if the mobo would automatically adjust the speed. From what I can see in the BIOS, I can't adjust the memory timing manually so I wasn't sure.

Thanks again!
