Hi There,

I'm using the Diamond Multimedia powerline internet AV kit (http://www.diamondmm.com/hp200av-diamond-powerline-ethernet-adapter.html) which I have connected from my router into a wall plug in my office. The second adapter is plugged into a wall socket downstairs near my AV equipment. I'd really like to expand my ethernet capabilities downstairs. Can I use an ethernet hub or switch to expand my ethernet connections? My hope is that I can plug the downstairs cable into a hub and then use the open ports in that hub to connect a few more multimedia devices...is there any reason this wouldn't work? thanks in advance for any help.

For the record, those AC main line ethernet adapters are often rather atrocious. If you encounter connectivity issues down the road, that's the first place to look.

Thanks so much Pinhedd. I appreciate your help . Networking is something that's never come easy to me for some reason....I've been lucky so far with the AC solution, but are there other options I could explore in the future if need be? I like the option of having wired connections for my multimedia equipment. Thanks again for your time & help.

A good Wireless-N access point is enough to stream HD content, far better than those wall adapters. With Wireless-AC on the horizon, the future looks rather bright.
