Hey, everyone. I'm currently getting a list of components together for a new build that I expect to be able to purchase around Christmas. I've looked at NewEgg and Amazon ratings, but am more interested in seeing what an established tech community has to say. Any and all feedback is greatly appreciated!

Looks good! Only things I would change is your HDD, SSD, and maybe PSU. The speed difference between a 840 and an 840 pro are pretty much negligible beyond benchmarks, so you could save a few bucks there if you'd like.

As for your HDD, I would recommend getting either a Caviar Blue, Black, or a Seagate Barracuda. Green drives are the slowest out of the Caviar series, with Black being the fastest and Blue in the middle. Barracudas are faster than Blue for around the same price, and I think Caviar Black is faster than Barracuda, but at a higher price.

The power supply is fine, just know that you would be golden with as low as 550w for this system. If you opted to go lower, you would of course lose future SLI ability due to lower wattage.

Other than that, everything looks good!

EDIT: Keep in mind that the 1155 socket is a dead socket and you will be unable to upgrade CPU's in the future without also purchasing a new mobo
