Q9550 and Q9400 which one will be the best ...

hello ....:) ..please help me ...I am freaking out what i will buy ..My motherboard is msi g41 p33 combo amd ram 4 gb Apogee ...My pci express is msi r6770 1gb ddr5...

No point in upgrading your motherboard as if you decide to go that route you might as well get something newer than either the Q9550 or Q9400.

I am typing this from a Q9550 (Hometheater PC). It's a good CPU even running in this P35 motherboard. Your G41 should be ample for it.

Was imply saying, if a P45 were to appear cheap preferably, it's a great upgrade for the 9550, those can run 4+ GHz on a good OCing mobo, and the P45 would also open things up for more DRAM.....I have a 9550 and a pair of 9650s waiting for a good mobo to show up as a trade in

I think it will be the good decision ...not changing 41 ..:)
