More about q9550 q9400
  1. Of the two the 9550 is far and away the best, it will run at whatever your mobo can allow, really need a P45 mobo to unleash it
  2. thanks....you suggesting change my 41 ..???

No point in upgrading your motherboard as if you decide to go that route you might as well get something newer than either the Q9550 or Q9400.

I am typing this from a Q9550 (Hometheater PC). It's a good CPU even running in this P35 motherboard. Your G41 should be ample for it.
  4. No, if you have the mobo use it, saying a P45 would provide you a future upgrade path for the CPU if you get it
  5. I am confused ..brothers ...:(

Dont change ur mobo for q9550. If u can change mobo then go for haswell or ivy bridge and get i5 3470 or 3570k. 9550 is old but still a good one
  7. can i play all modern games with this processor (q9550) ....(ex - crysis 3 , farcry 3 )
  8. Was imply saying, if a P45 were to appear cheap preferably, it's a great upgrade for the 9550, those can run 4+ GHz on a good OCing mobo, and the P45 would also open things up for more DRAM.....I have a 9550 and a pair of 9650s waiting for a good mobo to show up as a trade in
  9. .....
  10. Let us know how it goes
