Hey guys, i'm currently building a desktop but i don't know what graphics card i should get. I plan to do a lot of video/image related stuff but i also plan to play power-hungry games such as fallout 3. I need one preferably below the £450 mark because i am on a relatively tight budget. I also need a good quality sound card but i've never really looked into those. I plan to start making music and that sort of thing. Could you please leave the source of the part so i can get hold of it (UK ideally).

Thanks in advance

Just because it crashes often doesn't mean its intensive. Fallout 3 wasn't exactly good looking back when it released in 2008.
Great game though, if you have an SSD I recommend you install it there. Makes the constant load screens so much faster.

Jinayhvora's suggestion is pretty good, though to really get the worth of a soundcard that expensive you will need a fairly expensive audio setup to match.

Well, what audio setup do you have?
If your running a Sub-$150 pair of headphones, get a Xonar DGX purely because it has a headphone amp.

I dont know yet, i havent built it yet i just have a list of all of the components that i'm going to buy, i will probably use surround sound speakers though. Btw would the sound integration in the maximus vi mobo be okay? Or would the extended sound card be better?

For your graphic card, I suggest you a single gtx 770 or 660 in SLI. And I recommand SLI if you plan to use 3d (Eyefinity or 3d vision)
For your soundcard, I have a Xonar DX sound card, and very nice sound card.
If you plan it for music, look for Asus Xonar sound card, it's the better choice.
