hi there, i just recently got an SSD. i have re-run my windows experience index and have received the same score as my HDD.. why is this ? my score for my hdd was 5.9 and now that i have upgraded to an SSD it has not changed ?

Reset WEI and then re-run WEI and see if that works.

i tried this and it did not work, my 'Primary hard disk' still has a rating of 5.9

Is Windows installed on your SSD or HDD? If it is installed on your HDD then your WEI score is correct.

Also, go into your motherboard's BIOS and double-check that the port your SSD is connected to is in AHCI mode.

The controller should be set to AHCI mode. Also run WEI with no other hard drives connected.
