What downside does the B85 chipset have for a gamer

Hi,

I am a budget gamer. I recently bought the Gigabyte GA-B85M-HD3 Motherboard - Socket LGA1150 with a Intel 4570 i5 processor. I really had a tight budget and this board was all I could afford. Will I have any problems in gaming?

Gigabyte GA-B85M-HD3 Motherboard
Intel i5 4570 CPU
Gigabyte GTX 660 GPU
8GIG DDR3 1333 RAM

Nope.
You wont have overclocking features (for the CPU), but with a 4670 that isnt available anyway.

High level graphics, you should be good to go. Now if you wanted say 120FPS on a 1920x1200 display of BF4 on Ultra settings, NO absolutely not will this meet those requirements.

Thanks, I will not be running any games to that high resolution. What I actually want to nail down is ,will there be any performance difference versus the 87 chipset. I play online games mostly like RIFT, WOW and LOL. And occationaly games like skyrim and witcher 2.

Theres no performance difference, just a matter of what features are supported. From what I can remember, B85 doesnt have overclocking, Crossfire/SLI support and some other smaller features like RAID and Intel SRT.
