I put together a computer about two months ago, and everything has been working fine. Well, almost every thing.
My computer will restart just fine.
However, it refuses to shut down. I have to manually hold down the power button for it to turn off.
Also, when I step away from my computer for a few hours it will go into sleep mode(i think?) but clicking on the mouse or pressing keys on the keyboard will not put it back in it's normal state. It just stays there with the power light blinking. I actually have to hold the power button until it turns off, then press it again, and only then will it turn back on and resume to whatever I was doing on it before it went to sleep.
I've read that I might have to change some settings in BIOS but Im not sure what I should be looking for.
It's starting to annoy me that I have to turn my computer off and back on every time I leave it for an hour or so, and I'm getting very uneasy about having to manually force the shut down. I havent been able to find any solutions for this lately, so I was wondering if anyone here would have helpful advice.
