I have a portable hard drive with two partitions, one of which was encrypted with bitlocker. Due to some software problem, my partitions of hard drive got locked and whole of the drive is shown as "un partitioned space". (I guess there was problem with partitions, but they are not formatted). I recovered my partitions using Gparted live CD and i got the drive which is not encrypted. but the drive that is encrypted is still shown as "un partitioned space", its not active. How can i get my data back? i haven't formatted my bitlocker drive. i know the password, i need to make it active and decrypt the data. Is there any way?

i appreciate, but the disk management utility shows the drive as "unallocated space", and it was encrypted by bitlocker. My drive is not listed in Recuva as it is not active.

you need recovery key to get your data recovered.
There are some decent softwares like UFS Explorer who can decrypt the drive using security.
it is good that you haven't format the drive.
good luck
