Hey guys, I just recently ran across this issue.
A couple days ago I was rendering a car in 3ds Max 2011 for a friend of mine who wanted to show it off. Never had issues with 3ds before, but my computer froze in the process which happens once in awhile if I've been doing way too many things at once.
So I manually powered off with the button on my machine and restarted it. After restarting it, my computer was going incredibly slow, so I figured I'd just do a system restore to a few days earlier. When it restarted to do the process it said my OS was damaged and I had to restore to factory defaults. I went along because I needed to get my computer back going anyways.
I reinstalled everything and went to race online that night on NASCAR Racing Season 2003 in a league I'm in and my connection was really bad. Before the reformat I still used a wired connection and I had one of the best connections in the field, and then when I reformatted is when it went bad. I disabled my virus protection which I never had to do before, I've ran EndItAll which I've never had to do. I've Googled, disabled things I thought that would help and nothing has solved the issue. It's just really weird that this started happening only after I had to reformat, so I'm really hoping you guys can help me out. It's so frustrating.
