I bought a Gigabyte GeForce GTX 650 TI 2Gb card. It has PCI 3.0 and and GDDR5, my motherboard is PCI 2.0 and DDR3, could this cause problems? Psu is more than powerful enough so I know it isn't that.

Solution
wont cause any problems, the card will just run at pci-e 2.0 and not pci-e 3.0, meaning you will lose about 1% of performence, it really dosent matter and not noticable.

and you confused RAM with VRAM, your motherboard using DDR3 RAM has nothing to do with the gpu, and gddr5 gpu will work.

Updating your system firmware is generally a good idea to solve compatibility issues, but if you are not experiencing any problems then there's no reason to do so. The GDDR5 on the GPU is completely independent of the DDR3 on your motherboard.

Fun Fact: GDDR4 and GDDR5 are actually based on DDR3

So updating what firmware is recommended? When I put the card in a plug it up to the Psu I get a beep code, haven't looked up which or even listened to how many beeps it is because I was frustrated. I'll hook it back up tonight and find out which.
