I currently own a Radeon HD 6770 and I'm looking for a major upgrade, recently I stumbled upon a nice review of said Radeon HD 7870 but have no idea the difference of these two versions:

http://www.newegg.com/Product/Product.aspx?Item=N82E16814150605
and
http://www.newegg.com/Product/Product.aspx?Item=N82E16814150604

They have the same price, but one have two fans.
Since I'm looking for a major upgrade, I'm also open for suggestions (although I prefer it to be a Radeon).

Thank you in advance.

big no to xfx..
all of their cards usually have a problem about durability, heat etc..

and, if you want 7870 card, take LE/XT version..based on tahiti core, and significantly faster than "normal" 7870 pitcairn core..
Offer same performance with 660Ti, and just slightly slower than 7950 boost.

Sapphire XT has been discontinued; not even available from their website.

Wouldn't you rather 7950>7870 at that price range? Sapphire's stock OC 7950 runs only 20USD more than the XT, and would likely perform better especially at 1440p

Thanks, guys!
Yeah, I'm not set on neither the brand nor the card actually.

I'm looking for a big upgrade that I don't need to care anymore for a long time; I don't play ultimate games anyway, but I like to watch ginormous videos and play games, I use multiple monitors as well, so my poor HD6770 can't handle.

EDIT: Haven't saw Eyedeology's answer before posting.
Sorry, I do not understand what you said.
There is a Sapphire 7950 that costs only US$20 more? Is the difference in performance perceptible?

The Sapphire 7950 is only 20USD more than the PowerColor 7870 XT. (269.99)

I believe a 7870 would be the perfect solution for your needs, but to ensure you don't need something better or to try and save you money with a lower end card, could you please answer some questions?

What CPU do you have?
How many monitors and at what resolution are they displaying?
What types of games do you play? Listing specific games would be beneficial :)

Thanks!

7950 is a better card. about 10-15% performance upgrade than the 7870 Ghz

I would get the 7950 if its 20$ more than the XT. Its a good steal though

So, looking for Sapphire HD 7950 on Amazon I found these two that ship to Brazil:

http://www.amazon.com/Sapphire-11196-00-40G-Radeon-PCI-Express-Graphics/dp/B0070APVQ6/ref=sr_1_3?s=pc&ie=UTF8&qid=1375228103&sr=1-3&keywords=Sapphire+Radeon+HD+7950
http://www.amazon.com/Sapphire-DisplayPort-PCI-Express-Graphics-21196-00-20G/dp/B00BXVFM3K/ref=sr_1_2?s=pc&ie=UTF8&qid=1375228103&sr=1-2&keywords=Sapphire+Radeon+HD+7950

Is there any major differences between the two? The one with boost is cheaper, why is that?
Thank you all again, and sorry for the long thread.

the difference is the RED one is a REFERENCE DESIGN. means its the Original AMD-Designed One. and the Dual Mini is the Sapphire Revision of AMD Radeon 7950. It means its Redesigned. Better Cooling. And Better Looks  So its better to get the Dual Mini.
