Hello,
I recently got 2x 1gb Centon Memory Power DDR2 667MHz 1GB667LT Ram to upgrade a Toshiba Satellite A215-S7422 for my mother. The laptop came with Windows Vista and was running 2x 512mb for a total of 1gb. When I first installed the ram, the computer booted and ran significantly faster than before, but that evening I got a BSOD and now it says "The file is possibly corrupt. The file header checksum does not match the computed checksum." I re-installed the original ram and it works fine, but for some reason it won't run with the new ram. I can access the Bios and it shows that 2gb of memory is installed. I also flashed the Bios to the latest revision which did no help.
Although I just now noticed that the specs for the laptop say it requires PC2-5300 vs. the PC2-5400 for the ram. Is this a problem?
