So, I am looking into starting to record commentaries for videos, as I plan to start uploading to youtube again. I am trying to do this on the cheap, as I plan to save up and replace with better equipment. I plan on using one of my father's stage mics, a shure beta 58a. I know this is "good" for on stage, but how good is it for recording. Would it be decent until I can get the money to buy something like an audio technica at2020? Also, besides the beta question, could some of you recommend mics in the same price range as the at2020 (that is usb)? I am getting a mic stand soon, and I made a pop filter the other day (which turned out great btw). Any input?

Update. Got a desktop mic stand from radio shack today. Works great except if I get a at2020 or mic like that I will need a different stand. Does anyone have any recommendations?
