Why would anyone ever get an AMD A10-6800 for $130?

If you wanted to use it for gaming you could get an Athlon II x4 ($65) and a Radeon HD 7770 ($70) together for the same price and it would perform much better.

I'd say the reason to get an a10 over the athlon and 7770 is that you could use a smaller case without having to worry about extra fans, creating a quieter system than what you would get with the discrete gpu.
If you were going for raw frames though you would get the 7770 as the a10 needs fast ram to really work well which would bump up the price even more

Well the CPU is faster on the A10 compared to Athlon II x4, but you can also just get a FX4300 ($90) + $40 graphics card and still perform better than the A10 in graphics benchmarks. The FX4300 is almost identical to the A10 in processor benchmarks.
