hard hangs, what could be potential causes?

Hi

Recently my PC started hard hanging and becoming completely unresponsive, usually after a session of gaming (BF3, Skyrim, FC3 amongst others) but never while playing. Ran memtest86+ for 10 hours or so with no errors. Ran OCCT cpu and gpu for 1 hour each, with no problems nor did it hang afterwards. Temperatures are all fine. Happens with or without overclocking of the GPU. Chkdsk shows nothing. There's nothing in the windows logs.

Running out of ideas here, would greatly appreciate some help.

System:

Windows 7 64-bit
ASUS P8Z77-V Pro
Intel i5 3570k (Stock cooling, never OC'd)
16gb Corsair Vengeance 1333mhz
ASUS Nvidia GeForce 560ti 1gb
OCZ Agility 3 180gb (and 5 old Western digital drives for storage)
OCZ ModXStream Pro 700W
NZXT Phantom 410 case with a bunch of additional fans

Went so far as to disconnecting the drives and the problem still remains.

It's gotten worse at this point, not only will it hang, but also freeze for a second every now and then. Playing games is pretty much out of the question with the FPS sticking around 20-25 FPS in BF3, with the same settings that left me at 90-120 fps a week ago. Same story in other games. I'm thinking it might be the graphics card, as it's 2 years old and has been OC'd the entire time but unfortunately I have no other card to test with.

Yeah, I was planning on RMA'ing it as soon as I get back home, but that'll be another week or so. Any ideas as to how long it usually takes to get a new one? My friend is kind enough to let me use his drive until I get a new one back, but would prefer if I could get this one back to him as soon as possible. If they're fast enough it might be worth the 4 hour drive =)
