Seriously considering retiring my current PC to being a guest room PC or my shop PC. I need my PC daily for both personal and business uses. I'm having more and more problems and I simply can't have that!

My PC gets used (enthusiastically) for gaming (first person shooters!!!) and for e-mail, serious web-surfing, finances, word processing, some picture/video stuff, etc.

Before I tell you what I currently have, let me first say that I know it's not totally outdated and that possibly a component or two may wake this thing up, but I'm somewhat just ready for something different and new anyway. Plus, it's not like it's getting trashed; this will go into my shop or something... By the way, this was built in October 2009 for approximately $2k.

This is what I currently have:

Probably another $2k machine. The way I figure it is I've spent $500/year on this current machine. I have no idea how many hours I've been on this thing, but it's a hole bunch. The $/hour is super low. $2k is a lot of cash to invest every four years, but I think it's money well spent given the time that I spend on the computer! At least that's my excuse for a new rig anyway. Hehehe :bounce:

Also, I should've mentioned before that I think I want to give an SSD a try this time around. A smaller, faster drive for my OS and a few key programs and games and then a 1 TB HDD for mass storage. The 2 TB I have now in RAID 0 I only have 375 GB of data on them, and that's in four years worth of build up. Haha

Thanks!
