Building a PC; Bad RAM?

I've decided to build my own PC for kicks instead of buying a built one. I wish I went for the latter; I feel like I've screwed myself over...
Here is my current situation:

I did a hardware check before putting everything in my case.
1. installed the CPU
2. installed the heatsink that came with it
3. installed the graphics card + 2 sticks of ram

and plugged everything in + PSU

Everything went fine (I think), the screen came up with Asrock startup screen etc etc
(No beep because I forgot about the speaker)
I took my set up apart, and installed a different cpu cooler instead of the one that came with my CPU. I cleaned the thermal paste and everything, and started putting everything into the case.

After I put EVERYTHING together, I started her up and NOTHING.

I went back, checked the wires and cables, did mad research on everything and took it apart again...

I went back to testing the hardware, starting the with JUST the cpu installed.

Long beeps, so the mobo and CPU and cooler are fine?

I put in one stick of ram and silence.
I'm assuming this is my problem?

Here are my parts:
ASRock z77 extreme 4 mobo
i7 3770k CPU
800 watt COOLER MASTER Silent Pro Gold Series
Noctua NH-D14 120mm & 140mm SSO CPU Cooler
gigabyte GeForce GTX 680
G.SKILL Ripjaws X Series 16GB (2 x 8GB)

I must have done something terrible while installing the different cpu cooler..

And sorry if this is in the wrong category

Might want to check the CPU - did you use the same thermal compound? Some may have smeared and gotton to bottom of CPU or in socket, or moving the CPU around may have bent pins in the socket taking the old cooler off or putting the new on.....also check that all is still plugged in good the 20+4 power and the 4/8 power by the CPU socket

I've checked the manual and put the sticks where they suggested D:
I checked the cables over and over, I'm pretty sure I've got those in correctly and securely...

I'm learning towards Tradesman1 post.. Should I take it out from the mobo and look at it?
